Ecological Unity

We believe that human wellbeing is inseparable from the wellbeing of the Earth. Ecological Unity teaches us that we are not separate from nature, but participants within an interconnected web of life—that to be nourished is inseparable from the act of nourishing.

Through regenerative thinking, circular design philosophy, and reverence for the Earth, we seek to create spaces that honor this relationship. Our designs, product selections, and material choices are carefully made with the intention of moving beyond extraction and consumption toward Earth stewardship and reciprocity.

Generative Polarity

Generative Polarity recognizes the dynamic relationship between complementary forces present throughout nature. These forces are defined by qualities that exist within all things: structure and flow, protection and expression, discipline and creativity.

We design environments where these forces exist in harmony—where function and utility provide the structure through which rest, beauty, creativity, and renewal can flourish. Together, they create the conditions for wholeness, balance, and authentic becoming.

Rhythmic Correspondence

The patterns that govern the natural world are echoed throughout all of life. Nature reveals itself through rhythm. Seasons change. Light shifts. Growth unfolds in cycles.

We believe that spaces should reflect this principle of correspondence through harmony, continuity, and relationship. Through the careful orchestration of light, texture, color, materiality, and form, we seek to create environments in which every element participates in a larger conversation—one that is inseparable from the ecosystems that sustain us.

Inspired by the recurring patterns found throughout nature, our work strives to evoke a sense of coherence and belonging within the natural world.

Design Inspiration

In addition to the natural world, our founder has drawn inspiration from a wide range of artists, designers, and creators.

After visiting and studying natural building techniques at Jacki and Rob Roy's Earthwood school, the foundational principles of Atelier Harmoni and the aesthetic of the Earth Cottage™ ecosystem first began to take shape. Our original design ecosystem was further inspired by on-going intellectual and artistic collaboration with feminist ceramicist Ania Ksiezyc, who is known for her contributions to Earth goddess reverence. The contrast of her raw, primal art placed within a stunning story book cottage built by musicians Jim and Diane McDowell has defined the visual identity and philosophical direction of the Earth Cottage™ ecosystem.

Additional feminine archetypes and design ecosystems have emerged from deeper communion with these energies and contemplations, including Modern Earth™, influenced by Mater's cutting edge design ethos and technology and metalsmith artist Collin Blackmore's blending of industrial materials and emotional expression.

The Sacred River™ ecosystem emerged from our founder's own study of feminine psychology, shadow work, and providing editorial support on a philosophically rigorous project with a world renown shaman—it is the archetype through which her personal artistic inspiration flows.
